I was thinking about my Rosemary plant...I do my best to keep the plants watered well enough during the winter, but our house is sooo stinkin' dry, and some days, I forget to check the plants. My rosemary plant got so dry, that it was to the point of beginning to wilt before I realized it. I then watered it very well for the next couple days, soaking it each time. After that was when it started to get flowers on it.

Murphy, for whatever reason, when I hear the word rosemary, I think of Rosemary's Baby--an old book that I read as a teenager about a woman who gives birth to the anti-Christ. That was a creepy book.

It is a creepy old movie as well.

I love Rosemary too! I love it in a tea ball with my tea. So yummy, and makes me feel healthy. It smells so good. We've had a hard time getting it to grow the last 3 years. Maybe we'll try it indoors.

I grow it in a big container, then I can move it where I need it.

Just purchased my 3rd Rosemary plant for the year. 1st one died in the garden right away. This time I bought 2. One for the house and one in the garden...again. Full sun. Our rosemary has died 3 years in a row.

I have mine on the north-east facing ramp to my front door. ??? Maybe they need a little less sun?

I have a funny story. Back in 1986, my then husband of five years and with an infant just born early that year, left me for a co worker named Rosemary. I hated her. When I bought my own home, there was a rosemary plant in the front yard. I didn't water it, ever. It lived. This was in San Jose CA where we had no rain for over 8 months. That damn plant lived. Finally I pulled it out. It was in full sun and no water. Since then I still dislike Rosemary and it simply won't die anywhere I live. I even have it here at the golf course home facing south and no drip system. Its a weed!!!

eta: he never married Rosemary and now at 70.75 years old, is still miserable with that woman. ha!
