Cookies

Unread post by Quail » Sat May 28, 2016 9:57 am

Those who remember me from the "other forum" should remember that I love to bake. I'm hoping to get back to the baking from home, or open a local bakery. Several local people have said I should, because there aren't any good bakeries in our area.

So, here's some photos of cookies I've made in the last 6 months for customers in Florida.

If I lived close enough, I'd buy your cookies!

When I lived in Ohio, I legally could ship (and did!) my cookies. Florida cottage laws doesn't allow for me to ship.

I did just order myself my first silicone fondant mold. I'm going to try to add some "oomph" to my cookies with 3-D designs.

Just drool.

Those look awesome! It's too bad that you can't ship. I don't know what cottage laws are, I'll have to look it up.

Cottage laws are the "rules/guidelines" each state sets to either allow (or not allow) people to bake/cook and sell from their home without having an FDA approved kitchen.

In Florida, to ship over state lines, I have to have an FDA approved kitchen.

Those cookies look good. I'll bet they taste good too.
I have nephew that bakes and sells beautiful cookies like that around Christmas time.

That's what I was thinking. We'd just have to figure out a way to give her money for "shipping". |em2|
