Homemade Onion Soup Mix

[Rhodie Ranch]

1/2 C onion flakes
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp celery powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp dry parsley
1 tsp salt

Mix and store.

One quarter of a cup of the above equals one packet of any brand of onion soup mix.

Thanks, I’ve been seeing quite a few crockpot recipes that call for a package of onion soup mix but I never buy that stuff.

This will come in handy. Most of the commercial onion soup mixes have gluten in them.

We went to Costco to get gas and of course I had to go in. Those larger containers of spices they carry? I bought two of the tiny chopped onion for $3.28 a large plastic jar.

Made a double batch. Here is why they are packed into individual packs.

Its hard to get the spices evenly dispersed within the onion, which rise to the top.

Didn't have parsley so used dry kale.

Maybe do the spice mix and add the flake onion in later?
