New Mountaineer

Unread post by WhiteWolf » Sat Jun 01, 2019 11:50 am

Not new to homesteading; I'm on my 2nd place now... developing things. Just not starting totally from scratch with this one, in the interest of "time is getting real short". It's just year 3 here - but only now starting to plant. Last year, we had double the average rainfall from April to April this year. I kept plugging along, but hardly anything got done outside last year.

Thinking I might put in a moat... and start training my bears to guard the place. Keeps the riff-raff out.

Hurrah! You made it! I have no idea what no man's land you were in, but I am glad we finally got you fixed. Welcome to the forum. Jump right in.

Most people of this forum start a journal in the journal section to have a place to share what they have been doing on their homestead and it also is a great place to keep personal records. Only members can see the journals... and you know how secure that process is now. |em12|

We also try to keep separate threads for lots of things. This just makes it easier to find stuff later. It used to drive me crazy when someone would put a great recipe in the middle of some thread and I could never find it again. Here we are always open to new ideas and new threads. Have fun and enjoy yourself.

Hi from Southern Oregon, where I'm leaving my 2.66 acres and moving to a golf course home. But...there are going to be things happenin' there too!

Rhodie - think about saving golf tees to anchor weed fabric... and golf balls to freak the neighbors out that you've had (all just on your lawn) a hail storm! LOL
