It takes 3 hours to make the filling, and wrap 100 lumpia rolls.

 pork BBQ - http://asianinamericamag.com/2014/05/po ... ino-style/

Stir fried cabbage- finely shredded cabbage (1/2 to 1 head. It cooks down)'
diced onion
oil- high heat oil is best. Peanut, sunflower, sesame/wok oils
Finely shred cabbage head, dice onion. Heat oil in wok or skillet to high heat.
When oil is ready, toss in onion, stir for a short bit..then toss in as much shredded cabbage as you
can fit in the pan. It wilts down as it cooks. Stir frequently. Serve when bright green.

Fried rice- day old steamed rice (Jasmine is great)
diced meat
scrambled egg
frozen peas with carrots
sliced green onion
fried rice seasoning packet
soy sauce

Measures and amounts per your taste.

Easy to follow directions on package of fried rice seasoning.
Or....steam rice beforehand. Like hours or the day before. Allow to cool and dry.
Scramble some fresh laid eggs.
Dice meat...bacon (cooked), ham, pork, beef or chicken
Slice green onion, and regular bulb onion. (I like both)

When ready to cook dish, stir fry the diced onion, meat. Add frozen peas/carrots to steam ...then add rice to the pan.
The hot veggies/meat will steam the rice back to life. After that is steamed and mixed, maybe 5 minutes on med
high heat, toss in shredded scrambled eggs. Add seasonings at this time. Finish off with the fresh sliced green onion
tops.

Dave- I tried watching the video on siapao...my Filipino/English translator ear is way rusty. When I was around them all the time, it was no problem understanding the dialects with the English. Nowadays... |em2|
I'll just need to watch it a few times till I get used to hearing it again.

I hadn't heard of Palitaw. I have enjoyed the tiny sweet rice flour muffins though. And some purple bean paste.
