It was so yummy!
BTW, the chef's husband (he is the one who was supposed to do the class) had packed the supplies for the recipes and included a bottle of beer. She popped it open and we were all looking through the recipes for which had the beer, none did. So since it was opened and she didn't want to waste it, she added some of the beer to the sauce.
I'm seriously thinking how good this sauce will be made with some cherry applesauce I have here. Especially when I smoke a pork shoulder with cherry wood and mop the roast with apple juice as it slowly smokes.
