Dryer lint & sheets

Unread post by Old Fashioned » Sun Dec 22, 2019 1:10 am

Not really sure if this is the right place to put this, but just a few tips that may come in handy someday

Save up all your lint from the lint trap, it makes a great Firestarter. Great to use in place of or with paper to get things going.

Used dryer sheets are good to clean the glass on woodstoves.

Looks like the right place to me.

What do you do with the lint? Do you add wax to it or something?
Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

Every little bit ... is a little bit.

I put the lint in cardboard egg cartons and pour melted wax over it.

I guess you can, like Patrice does but I just put it with the kindling & light it up.

The only reason I do the wax is because there is always some left in the bottom of the candle jars that doesn’t burn. I figure I might as well use the wax up instead of throwing it out.

Patrice.....couldn't you save up those bits of wax & melt it all and pour it into a mold with a wick to make a new candle?

They are different scents so that wouldn’t really be a good idea.
