Longer Battery Life

Unread post by Old Fashioned » Sat Dec 28, 2019 8:24 pm

I have several 'new' batteries that have been laying around, unused and worried about the power draining out over time....so on a whim I did a search about how to extend battery life. Come to find out, you can keep them in the freezer or fridge to help extend their life......although some types of batteries do better than others, but you can still get a bit more out of them anyway.

A number of studies have shown that storing batteries in the freezer helps them retain their charge longer. This is less true for alkaline batteries (freezing extends their shelf life by only about 5%) than it is for NiMH and Nicad batteries often used in electronics. Keeping NiMH batteries in the freezer can boost battery life by 90%

Good info.
Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

The freezer will extend their life but they won't work as well unless you bring them back to room temp first.
