In Tennessee everyone did Pork jowls and black eyed peas. We're keeping our Northern Tradition of pork roast and kraut, thanks LOL

I’ve never done anything specific for a New Year’s Day meal but the pork roast and kraut sound good. I’m not a fan of dried beans, peas or legumes.
