Tonight is chili dogs in a blanket for Family Movie Night. Basically you just make a pizza crust and divide it into pieces to wrap up your hot dog with cheese and chili, then bake.

Hubby and I had a date night. We went to the local cafe and the specials were boiled spice shrimp and steaks. We split a 10 oz ribeye and a pound of shrimp. Yum. The meal came with salad, huge baked potatoes, vegetable and a slice of homemade sweet potato pie. I took my pie home for hubby to eat later since it is not GF. We both had to practically be rolled out after that dinner AND it was under $50 - tip included!

I love that little cafe!

Didn't know if I wanted to show this in a garden thread or here, but it really was what was for dinner! Everything on the plate was from the farm. Ham from the barnyard. Corn on the cob. And a cucumber salad with green pepper and basil and a couple of eggs from the coop. It was yummy. Hubby raved about it and the 16 year old even had some ham and corn on the cob on his way out the door . That's the true compliment.

We had hamburger soup and GF corn muffins with honey last night for supper. I think the recipe is posted in the recipe section someplace, maybe under cowboy stew. It was good yesterday and will be even better for lunch today.

There are so many dishes that are better the next day after "resting". Maybe it's because we don't have to go to all the trouble to make them again they just taste better.
