10 ½ cups flour
1 cup buttermilk powder
½ cup sugar
¼ c baking powder
1 Tablespoon soda
1 ½ Tablespoons salt
2 cups vegetable shortening
--------------------------------------------
Instructions are the same no matter which you do. Basically mix all the ingredients together using an electric mixer. You can use it just like Bisquick or other easy baking mix. They suggest you use it within two months or store it in the freezer to keep it fresh due to the shortening in the mix.
Cream of Soup Base
4 cups milk powder, 1.5 c cornstarch, 1/2 c chicken bouillon, 4 tsp onion powder, 2 tsp dried basil, 1 tsp dried rosemary, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1 tsp salt
(heat 1/3 cup mix and 1 cup of milk or water in a saucepan over med-low heat. stir until thickened, add 1/2 cup of desired add-in.)
Au Jus Powder
1/2 c beef bouillon, 1/2 c cornstarch, 2.5 tbsp onion powder, 4 tsp dried chives, 1 tsp garlic, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp salt
(heat 1.5 tbsp mix and 2 cups water in saucepan until thickened. 3 tbsp = 1 packet)
Chocolate or Vanilla Pudding Mix
2 cups milk powder, 1.5 cups organic cane sugar, 3/4 cup cornstarch, 1/2 tsp salt.
Add 3/4 cup cocoa for chocolate pudding.
(combine 1 c mix with 2 cups milk and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. remove from heat and add 2 tbsp butter and 1 tsp vanilla, unless you are making vanilla pudding then I add 2 tsp vanilla.)
Ranch Seasoning Blend
4 tbsp onion powder, 1 tbsp salt, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp black pepper, 2 tbsp parsley, 1 tsp chives, 1 tsp dill weed, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp arrowroot powder.
(1 packet = 3 tbsp mix, to make dip I start with 1 tbsp per cup of sour cream and adjust as needed)
White Gravy Mix
2.5 cups AP Flour, 1c powdered milk, 1/2 c arrowroot powder, 1/8c black pepper
(melt 2 tbsp butter in saucepan and add 3.5 tbsp of mix, whisk and cook for 1 minutes. Slowly add in 1.5 cups of milk, simmer until thickened)
