What Is Your Favorite Dish to Bring to a Potluck?

Unread post by calendula »

I have a BBQ tomorrow at my Uncle's and am trying to decide on what to bring, so I'm calling on you all for your favorite recipes and dishes to pass. Pretty please, if you have one to share. |em24|

I like to take cheesy hashbrown potatoes, baked beans, cole slaw or a nice fruit salad.

To a BBQ, I like to take deviled eggs, and/or potato salad and/or cucumber salad. I used to take baked beans a lot, but haven't done that in years. If they're having hot dogs, I take a jar of my homemade relish.

Most of the time I have taken 'Devilish Eggs'......deviled eggs with some horseradish mixed in. They are soooo good. |em24| Adults love them, kids may not so much because of the heat.

On the 4th, I took baked beans.....made in the crock pot. I put them on the night before & let cook all night. No fuss, no muss and
tasty |em24|

I love to take a big fruit salad. It is Gluten Free and usually most people can enjoy fruit.

Basically I just chunk up what ever fruit I have or can get that is in season (or even drained cans of fruit) and dump in a can or two (depending on how big the salad is) of pineapple chunks in their own juice juice and all. The pineapple juice keeps the rest of the fruit from turning brown.
And, isn't sanity really just a one-trick pony anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking, but when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, oooh, the sky is the limit. -The Tick ~~ Bible verse Revelation 6:15-17 - look it up!
