They suggested adding some chorizo sausage to it to make a meal, but I think even regular sausage or hamburger would work as well.

Oh that looks sooo delish |em24| I love plain hominy just boiled and I eat the whole can by myself because nobody else likes it, so something like this is even better. Thanks for sharing |em23|

Grits will work but you'll get more of a creamy polenta consistency.

I've never had hominy either. Grits, yes. I eat them often-had them for breakfast this morning.
