We will be going to my mom's side this year for Thanksgiving. She's making the usual--turkey, mashed 'taters and gravy, and corn. Grandma is making pumpkin pie and the stuffing, and I will be supplying cornbread and a grain free pumpkin pie.

Our Thanksmas Feast was held last Saturday. I slow roasted a big turkey, made potato and pasta salads, roasted pumpkin cubes with herbs, a home made cheese ball with other cheese board items, and baked a pumpkin and an apple pie. Friends brought things like snacks, a raspberry cheesecake, jalapeno popper dip, and the fixings for an ice cream bar. I also assembled a heap of Christmas crackers (bon bons, party crackers) and we played games. I loved it, it was best time we'd had in a while.

Sounds like fun. My D1 had something similar at her fiance's house. They called it Friendsgiving.

We went to BIL's for Thanksgiving, and probably won't again. They are good at hosting, but they S.U.C.K. at cooking. My kids LOVE turkey, but all six of them fed their turkey to the in-laws dog.
